The Design Newcastle website uses modern technologies, such as Flash and JavaScript, to enhance user experience.

If the user's browser does not support these technologies, the site should "gracefully degrade" such that all factual information remains entirely accessible.

We have made the decision not to include a 'text resize' feature. All modern visual browsers provide a facility to magnify the content themselves.

We have made the decision not to feature 'access keys'. There is criticism that the lack of conformity across websites makes their use confusing and sometimes contradictary. You can quickly cycle through links on the page by using the 'tab' key.
